"عندما قابلت أمه بعد بضع ايام من إطلاق النار عليه، قالت:" كان جائعاً! عثرنا على جثته وفي جيبه كيس من رقائق البطاطا. فقد كان عائدا إلى البيت لتناول وجبة الغداء "

في محاولة لاستعادة المساحة والاحساس بالآمن في البيت، قامت الفنانة المتخصصة بفنون الطبيعة فيفيان صنصور بتصميم وزراعة حوض كامل في دار جاسر بنبات الملوخية، وهي واحدة من الوجبات الغذائية الأساسية في فلسطين التي تمثل الشعور بالراحة والدفء. وفي ورشتها القادمة والفاعلية المفتوحة، سيحصد ويجمع المشاركون في الفاعلية محصول الملوخية، ثم سيعدون حسائها من خلال استخدام مطبخها المتنقل. سوف يتبادل المشاركون مع بعضهم البعض قصصهم حول الشعور بالأمان وما يعنيه لهم البيت خلال هذه الورشة. ستعقد ورشة العمل في الحوض الذي قامت الفنانة فيفيان بتنظيفه من الزجاج والشظايا في تموز الماضي وزراعته، وهو الآن مملوءة بالسيقان الخضراء التي تعلن أننا في البيت.

In an attempt to reclaim the space and our sense of home, Vivien Sansour has designed and planted an entire terrace at Dar Jacir with Mloukheyeh, one of Palestine's staple meals that represents comfort and warmth. In her upcoming workshop and public event, participants will harvest the mloukehey stems, take apart the leaves, and prepare a home cooked mloukheyeh stew in her Traveling Kitchen. Participants will share with each other their stories of home and what home means to them during this process. The workshop will be conducted on Vivien's landscape residency terrace, which was first cleared of glass and shrapnel in July, and then planted, and is now lavish with green stems that declare we are home.
