يسرنا دعوتكم في مركز خليل السكاكيني الثقافي، كجزء من سلسلة عروض فيديو آرت ضمن مشروع "يعاد٢" لحضور حوار الفنان بشار الحروب والمخرج جورج خليفي، سيكون الحوار حول تجربة بشار في الفيديو آرت، والتركيز على الفيديوهات التي تُعرض حالياً في المركز..

عن جورج خليفي:
ولد جورج خليفي في الناصرة عام 1947 ودرس السنيما بالمعهد العالي للفنون العرضية ببروكسل بلجيكا, كان مديرا للإنتاج ومنتجا للعديد من الأفلام الروائية الطويلة خاصة أفلام ميشيل خليفي, كما أنتج البرامج التلفزيونية ومن ضمنها برامج الأطفال, وانجز العديد من الأفلام الوثائقية, كتب وأخرج خليفي العديد من المسلسلات والدراميات التلفزيونية كذلك صدر له العديد من الكتابات عن السينما الفلسطينية خاصة, درس ويدرس السينما والتلفزة في الجامعات والكليات الفلسطينية وغيرها.

عن بشّار الحروب:
حاصل على درجة الماجستير في الفنون المعاصرة من مدرسة وينشستر للفنون − جامعة ساوث هامبتون − بريطانيا عام 2010؛ كما حاز على الجائزة الاولى في بينالي الفنّ الآسيويّ الخامس عشر − بنغلادش عام 2012.
عرض أعماله في فلسطين وعلى المستوى العالم ما بين متاحف ومهرجانات ومؤسّسات مختصّة بالفنون المعاصرة مثل معهد العالم العربي- باريس، متحف Imperial War Museum / لندن، ومتحف اغا خان في تورونتو/ كندا، مؤسسة المعمل للفن المعاصر، مركز الفنون المعاصرة (ICA) لندن، ومعارض أخرى.
كما وحصل بشّار الحروب على العديد من الإقامات الفنيّة الدوليّة.

عن "يعاد" (2)
انطلاقاً من رؤية المركز التي تهدف إلى تعميق دور الثقافة والفنون في فلسطين، يبدأ المركز على مدار الاشهر القادمة توسيع المعرفة بالفيديو آرت كوسيط فني، وتعريف المهتمين بالمجال الثقافي بانتاجات فنانين فلسطنيين متمرسين من خلال عرض اعمالهم ومشاريعهم الفيديو آرتية في فضاء المركز، بحيث تعرض مجموعة أعمال لفنان/ة واحد/ة متكاملة لمدة أسبوعين بشكل مكرر. كما سنحاول أن يرافق كل عرض لقاء مع الفنان/ة لنقاش الأعمال وممارستهم الفنية بشكل عام.

Khalil Sakakini Cultural Center invites you to attend the Artist talk with artist Bashar Alhroub and director George Khleifi, as part of “Loop2”, a video art screenings of selected series of video art that started with Bashar Alhroub for it's first two weeks, the talk will focus on these videos and Bashar's experience in video art

Tuesday, 12/3/2019 at Khalil Sakakini Cultural Center.

George Khleifi :
was born in Nazareth in 1947. He studied filmmaking and production in Brussels, Belgium. He has been the line and executive producer of several Palestinian feature films, the producer, writer and director of the children’s program Share’ Sumsum, and has directed several documentary films as well as Mattab, a mini soap opera, and Abu Youssef’s House, a 64 episodes sitcom. He was the Head of training and production at the Institute of Modern Media at Al Quds University from 1999-2007. Together with Prof. Nurit Gertz, he wrote the book Palestinian Cinema: Landscape, Trauma and Memory (2008).

About Bashar Alhroub:
A Palestinian artist, completed his MFA in 2010 at Winchester School of Art, University of Southampton in the UK. In 2012 Alhroub was awarded the first grand prize at the 14th Art Asian Biennial, Bangladesh.
He has exhibited his work in Palestine and internationally including The Imperial war Museum- UK, Aga Khan Museum- Canada, The Institute of Contemporary Arts ICA London, The Arab World Institute، Paris – France, and many others.
He also participated in several International artists residency.

About “Loop” (2):
Based on the Center's vision to deepen the role of culture and arts in Palestine, the Center will start its program over the coming months to expand the knowledge of video art as a technical medium. To acquaint those interested in the cultural field with the productions of experienced Palestinian artists by presenting their works and projects. Featuring a single artist’s videos for two weeks on a loop. Also trying to host an artist talk to discuss their productions and artistic practices.
