Jemima started in 1982 with a small house were children were admitted. Throughout the years, Jemima moved to a bigger house and later on was able to build a new facility. At the moment Jemima is organized in two building; one for residential care and one for daycare.
Where Jemima was depending on volunteers in the beginning, more and more tasks are done by local employees. Jemima in Beit Jala is headed by local director and his management team.
Jemima is fully depending on funding. With an approximate budget of EUR 500000 per year. Jemima is able to provide all beneficiaries with the care that they need, done by local employees.
