Press House – Palestine hosted a live drawing contest implemented by Women's Health Center of Culture and Free Thought Society in partnership with the United Nations Population Fund.
Dr. Fatima Hamdan, Coordinator of Gender based Violence project, explained that the contest is part of "#Masculinity isn't Violence" campaign, which topped the trend list in Twitter.
Dr. Hamdan added that all these activities were launched by the Lobbying and Advocacy Forum within the Women's Health Center after intensive trainings on gender-based violence and lobbying and advocacy methods.
Moreover, dozens of male and female artists participated with dozens of paintings that were painted lively. The competition included a cash prize for the best painting that reflected the logo of the campaign.
Furthermore, Amal El Aloul won first place, Amal Al Kahlout won second place, and Issam Mukhaimar won third place after the evaluation of the competition committee within certain criteria such as content, ideas and tactics.
In addition, the paintings will be used to organize an art exhibition to combat violence against women, as well as a booklet containing all the paintings which will be distributed within the campaign.
