عن الفيلم:
"طوفان في بلاد البعث" فيلم وثائقي سوري من إخراج المخرج السوري عمر أميرالاي، يتناول الفيلم الآثار المترتبة على سياسات حزب البعث في سورية دون إدلاء أيّ تعليق أو انتقاد، يعرض الفيلم الآثار المدمّرة على قرية الماشي الصغيرة -التابعة إداريّاً لمحافظة الرقّة والتي تبعد عن مدينة دمشق 400 كم شمالاً- بعد بناء سد الفرات، يبدأ الفيلم بإيقاع بطيئ عارضاً مقابلات مع طلاب ومعلمين وحتى مسؤولين حكوميّين يقومون بتلاوة شعارات تمدح الرئيس القائد وتمجّد حزب البعث، يعد الفيلم إدانة قاسية للنظام السوري من خلال تصويره للآثار الاقتصاديّة والاجتماعيّة الكارثيّة المدمرة التي لحقت بالمجتمع السوري بعد 35 عاماً من حكم البعث. طوفان في بلاد البعث وكمعظم أعمال المخرج عمر أميرالاي محظور في سورية.

About the Film:
A Syrian documentary film directed by Syrian director Omar Amiralay discusses the implications of Baath Party policies in Syria without comment or criticism. The film presents the devastating effects on the small village of Al-Mashi, which is administratively affiliated to the governorate of Raqqa, which lies about 400 km north of Damascus. Building the Euphrates Dam, the film begins with a slow rhythm, showing interviews with students, teachers and even government officials reciting slogans praising the leader and glorifying the Baath Party. The film is a harsh condemnation of the Syrian regime by portraying the devastating economic and social effects of the society Syrian regime after 35 years of Baath rule. Flood in the land of the Baath and most of the work of the director Omar Amiralai banned in Syria.
