عن العمل:

"من كلِّ بستانٍ ..." عملٌ يجمعُ زهراتٍ موسيقية وغنائيّة من الموروثِ الفنيّ لبلاد الشام ومصر ومن أعمالٍ جديدة للفنانة الفلسطينية ناي البرغوثي.

إن كان أجمل ما في أي بستان تنوّع وتعدّد أشكال وألوان زهوره، فتميُّز "من كلِّ بستانٍ ..." يكمن في جمعِه الطرب العربيّ الأصيل، وبالذات من روائع أم كلثوم، بالأعمال المعاصرة للرحابنة وفيروز، بالجاز، بالتراث، بأغانٍ فلسطينية تُقدّم لأول مرة وبمفاجأة في الختام.

وإن كان أبشعُ اضطهادٍ يُوجَّهُ ضد بشرٍ لاختلافِهِم/ن في الهويّة، فـ"من كلِّ بستانٍ ..." يحتفلُ بالاختلاف، ويسهمُ في المقاومةِ الفنيّة للاضّطهادِ بأشكالِه وفي إعادة الاعتبار للإنسانِ وللحبّ والحنين والفرح والتأمّل كضرورات لحياة كريمة تستحقُّ أن يعيشَها.

ناي البرغوثي، مغنية، ملحّنة، وعازفة فلسطينية وُلِدت في القدس المحتلة عام 1996. قدمت عروضاً غنائية في مدن فلسطينية وعربية وعالمية وفي مقرّ الأمم المتحدة في نيويورك في يوم التضامن مع الشعب الفلسطيني في 2013. تعليقاً على هذا العرض، كتب المغني العالمي روجر ووترز (Pink Floyd) عنها: "كم هي ساحرة! كم هي جميلة! كم هي واثقة! وكم تتمتع بحسٍ موسيقيّ رفيع". تدرس الآن في جامعة آمستردام للفنون موسيقى الجاز حيث تبحث عن علاقتها بشغفها الأهم، الطرب العربي.

About the performance:

“From every orchard …” is a work that blends musical and lyrical “flowers” from the artistic heritage of the Levant and Egypt, as well as new compositions by Palestinian artist Nai Barghouti.
If an orchard’s beauty is most reflected in the variety of the shapes and colors of its flowers, the distinction of “From every orchard ...” lies in its seamless combination of authentic Arab tarab music, especially masterpieces of Umm Kulthum, contemporary works of Rahbanis and Fayrouz, jazz, traditional music and fresh Palestinian songs. Expect an exhilarating surprise at the finale!
The most horrible persecution is that directed against humans for having a different identity. “From every orchard ...” therefore celebrates diversity and hopes to contribute to artistically resisting oppression, in all its forms, and to creatively restoring the value of human dignity, love, nostalgia, joy and contemplation as necessities of a dignified life that is worthy of our existence.
Born in occupied Jerusalem in 1996, Nai Barghouti is a Palestinian singer, flute player, and composer. Celebrated in the Arab media as a “classical diva,” Nai performed in sold-out concerts in Arab and international cities, as well as at the UN headquarters in New York in 2013. Commenting on that performance, the renowned British musician, Roger Waters (Pink Floyd), wrote of her: “So charming, so beautiful, so self-assured, soooooo musical.” She is now pursuing a B.A. in jazz music at the Amsterdam University of the Arts, where she is exploring the relationship between jazz and her primary passion, Tarab.
