تدعوكم مؤسسة عبد المُحسن القطّان لحضور فيلم بعنوان "روني/ الغربان" في المركز الثقافيّ للمؤسسة -الطيرة، رام الله الساعة السادسة مساءً.

قد يكون فيلم "روني" (أو الغربان)، أحد أغرب التأملات حول الطفولة على الإطلاق. يتتبع الفيلم مسار فتاة وحيدة في التاسعة من عمرها، أهملتها والدتها بقسوة، فهربت من البيت واختطفت طفلة تبلغ ثلاثة سنوات بحثًا عن السعادة. رغم صعوبة الموضوع، يبقى الفيلم مبهمًا وبعيدًا عن نمط أفلام الرعب، فيحافظ على جوهر حلميّ وعاطفي بعض الشيء.
مع ذلك، يتسلل شعور مرعب ينذر بالشؤم إلى كل إطار من الفيلم وهو يستكشف عالمًا بريئًا في الأساس ولكن يشوبه شيء أكثر ظلمة. قلمّا يظهر والدا الطفلة المخطوفة على الشاشة، بل ننغمس نحن كليًّا في عالم الطفلتين القادرات على التجول دون هدف، دون أن يتفقدهم الكبار من حولهم. لا شكّ أن فيلم الغربان لا يمكن نسيانه ولكن يتم إغفاله كجزء من تاريخ السينما البولندية المعاصرة.

Perhaps one of the strangest ruminations on childhood ever captured on film, Wrony (or The Crows), follows the trajectory of a lonely 9-year-old girl painfully neglected by her mother, who runs away from home and kidnaps another 3-year-old girl in search of happiness. Despite the disturbing subject matter, the film is never terribly explicit, nor does it delve completely into the horror genre; instead it maintains a rather dreamlike and sometimes sentimental essence. Nonetheless, a mounting sense of dread and foreboding creeps into every frame of The Crows as it explores a world that is both fundamentally innocent and tainted by something much darker. The kidnapped infant’s parents rarely appear onscreen, and rather we are fully immersed in the world of the children themselves who are able to wander around aimlessly, unchecked by the heartless adults around them. Haunting and unforgettable, The Crows is an indelible and yet somehow overlooked entry in the history of contemporary Polish cinema.
