المستجدات الأخيرة المتعلقة بقضية اللاجئين الفلسطينيين والتي تتمثل بقرار الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية بقطع تمويلها عن وكالة الغوث بذريعة أن مرافقها وخدماتها تشوبها "عيوب لا يمكن إصلاحها" يطرح تساؤلات جدية حول مستقبل قضية اللاجئين الفلسطينيين ومعهم مصير وكالة الغوث الدولية.

إن هذا القرار الذي يحمل في طياته بعداً سياسياً واضحاً، يستلزم إعداد تصور لمواجهته بشكل طارئ وسريع وباستغلال كافة الإمكانيات المتوفرة، بما يكفل حماية حق اللاجئين الفلسطينيين بالعيش بكرامة وتلقي الخدمات الأساسية حتى تحقيق العودة.

ضمن هذا السياق أعد الائتلاف الفلسطيني للحقوق الاقتصادية والاجتماعية والثقافية "عدالة" برنامجاً واسعاً للعمل ضد هذه القرار المجحف وآثاره، من خلال تفعيل طاقات المجتمع المدني الفلسطيني والعربي والعالمي بما يخص قضية اللاجئين الفلسطينيين، ومن أهم هذه الخطوات وأبرزها ترتيب حملة دولية للضغط والمناصرة لمطالبة المجتمع الدولي بتحمل مسؤولياته لضمان استمرارية عمل وكالة الغوث.

وفي إطار الحملة، يدعوكم الائتلاف الفلسطيني للمشاركة في جلسة حوارية حول أزمة الأونروا، بحيث تتضمن نقاشاً للأزمة المالية التي تواجهها الأونروا، ومدى تأثير هذه الأزمة على حقوق اللاجئين وسبل التصدي لها، بما يتضمن نقاشاً لدور وكالة الغوث، المؤسسات الدولية، المجتمع المدني الفلسطيني.

سيشارك في هذه الجلسة الحوارية المفوض العام للوكالة السيد بيير كرينبول، إضافة إلى متحدثين من المكتب التنفيذي للاجئين، مؤسسات المجتمع المدني الفلسطيني ومتحدثين عن الائتلاف الفلسطيني.

وعليه، يدعوكم الائتلاف الفلسطيني للمشاركة في هذه الجلسة الحوارية الهامة، والتي ستعقد يوم الثلاثاء الموافق 18/9/2018 في تمام الساعة العاشرة صباحاً في قاعة الغرفة التجارية – رام الله والبيرة.

The latest updates concerning the United States ending all funding for the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) due to allegations that its facilities and services are “irredeemably flawed". This latest development raises serious questions about Palestinian refugees’ future and cause and sustaining UNRWA’s mandate.

This resolution clearly carries a political, economic, and social dimension that necessitates urgent and inclusive interventions to actively respond to this critical development. This will be realized by employing different accessible means to ensure Palestinian refugees’ right to live in dignity and receive basic services till realizing Return.

In this regard, the Palestinian Coalition for Economic, Social, and Cultural Rights (Adaleh) has designed a massive advocacy campaign to respond to this outrageous decision and implications. This will be attained by mobilizing the Palestinian, Regional, and International Civil Society regarding the Palestinian refugees’ cause. This international campaign includes holding the international community accountable regarding their responsibilities towards the sustainability of the UNRWA’s mandate.

Therefore, the Palestinian Coalition for Economic, Social, and Cultural Rights (Adaleh) hereby invites you to participate in a dialogue session on the UNRWA crisis. This dialogue will address the UNRWA’s financial crisis, the implications of this crisis on refugees’ rights, and measures to combat them. Also, it will address the role of the UNRWA, the International actors, and the Palestinian Civil Society.

The Commissioner-General of the Agency; Mr. Pierre Krähenbühl will participate in this dialogue, in addition to speakers of Executive Office of the Popular Service Committees, Civil Society Representatives and the Palestinian Coalition for Economic, Social, and Cultural Rights (Adaleh).

This dialogue be held in the Theatre Hall of the Chamber of Commerce – Ramallah and Al Bireh, on Tuesday, September 18, 2018, at 10:00 AM.
