A rare to see this breathtaking black and white documentary, shot in one of the world's most beautiful and mysterious islands: Yemen's Socotra.
مرات قليلة هي التي يتسنى لنا فرصة مشاهدة هذا العمل الرائع بالابيض و الاسود، و الاستمتاع بمشاهد رائعة من جزيرة سوقطرا.

Several ancient texts believe Socotra is the original location of the Garden of Eden: its name comes from the Sanskrit for “paradise”. It has enchanted adventurers from Alexander the Great to Marco Polo to the legendary Sinbad with its dragon’s blood trees, rare species of frankincense, aloe and pink desert roses. Recently annexed by the UAE, the traditional way of life for its 60,000 inhabitants is on the brink of disappearing. Jordi Esteva's documentary looks at storytelling on the island and the widespread tales of djinns and other magical creatures told around the campfire.
العديد من النصوص القديمة تعتقد أن سقطرى هو الموقع الأصلي لجنة عدن: اسمها يأتي من اللغة السنسكريتية عن "الجنة". وقد سحرت المغامرين من الإسكندر الأكبر إلى ماركو بولو إلى السندباد الأسطوري بأشجار دم التنين ، واللبان النادر ، والصبار ، و ورود الصحراء الوردية , والتي ضمتها مؤخراً دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة.
