حول الفيلم:
يتحدث الفيلم عن اول انتفاضة او ثورة بيئية حصلت في جزيرة بوغنفيل الواقعة في المحيط الهادئ احتجاجاً على شركات المناجم (mining companies) الاجنبية و قرروا يكان الجزيرة اغلاقها بالقوة. توقفت الايرادات و الاصدارات للجزيرة وما كان امام السكان من حلول سواء استعمال شجر جوز الهند الذي كان وفيراً كطريق نحو الاكتفاء الذاتي.

ينفذ هذا النشاط بالشراكة بين مجموعة منجلة ومركز خليل السكاكيني الثقافي ضمن مشروع إقامة الأرض، المُموّل من مؤسسة المجتمع المفتوح OSF، والذي نسعى من خلاله للجمع ما بين الزراعة والثقافة عن طريق استخدام أرض المركز كحيز تفاعلي، تعليمي وزراعي. وهنا، تنبع أهمية تقديم وطرح مفهوم الزراعة كمفهوم ثقافي ومشروع تحرّري يهدف بشكل أساسي إلى تحقيق الاكتفاء الذاتي.

عن منجلة:
مبادرة ابتدءت منذ سنتين تقريبا، هذه المبادرة تدمج ما بين الزراعة و الثقافة، قامت المبادرة بتنفيذ عدة مبادرات وتدخلات زراعية في الفضاءات العامة والمزارع المجتمعية.

About the film:
The film talks about the first uprising or environmental revolution that took place on the Pacific island of Bougainville to protest foreign mining companies and decided the island would shut down by force. The island's revenues and exports were interrupted and the population had no solutions, whether using the coconut tree, which was abundant as a path to self-sufficiency.

This activity is carried out in partnership between Munjalah Group and Khalil Sakakini Cultural Center within the Land Foundation Project, funded by the Open Society Foundation (OSF), through which we seek to combine agriculture and culture by using the land as an interactive, educational and agricultural space. Here, the importance of presenting the concept of agriculture as a cultural concept and a libertarian project that is primarily aimed at achieving self-sufficiency comes from.

About Mejdala:
