موسم قطف الزيتون في مشجر جذور

اقترب موعد قطف الزيتون في فلسطين! كما تعلمون فنحن في انتظار المطر أولاً. انضموا لاحتفالية قطف الزيتون الرابعة التي ينظمها مشجر جذور لتجددوا ارتباطكم بهذا التقليد الفلسطيني المتأصل في ثقافتنا، ولتتعلموا كيفية قطف وعصر الزيتون الذي تستمتعون بمذاقه!

سيكون اللقاء الساعة ٩.٠٠ على الشارع الرئيسي قبل قرية عين كينيا من ثم سنقوم بالتوجه نحو المشجر مشياً على الاقدام لمدة ١٥ دقيقة.
الساعة ٩.٣٠ سنبدأ اليوم بتناول فطور تقليدي و كأس من الشاي المعد على الحطب بينما نقوم بالتحدث عن الأساليب التقليدية لقطف وعصر الزيتون، بالإضافة للفؤائد الجمة لشجرة الزيتون وثمارها.
الساعة ١٠.٠٠ سنبدأ بقطف الزيتون من أشجارنا التي تقارب ال ١٠٠ شجرة حتى الساعة ١٥.٠٠


نود تذكيركم بارتداء ملابس مريحة، و احذية مخصصة للمشي حيث يتطلب الوصول للمشجر مشي لمدة ١٥ دقيقة و كذلك إحضار الماء معكم (1.5 لتر أو أكثر)، والوجبات الخفيفة الصحية.

ملاحظة: سوف يكون هناك صندوق تبرعات للذين يودون التبرع لمشجر جذور، كل التبرعات سيتم استخدامها لزراعة أشجار اكثر في المشجر و تطويره.

Olive Harvest at Juthour

It’s olive harvest time in Palestine! Join our 4th olive harvest at Juthour to reconnect to this deep-rooted Palestinian tradition and learn about picking and pressing the olives you enjoy so much.

Prepare yourselves and your families for a wonderful day in nature.
We will meet on the street meeting point at 9:00am (see the map where "Park Cars on Street symbol is: http://juthour.org/VisitUs Someone will be there to meet the group and lead hike up)

We will rest under the olive trees in the seating area to enjoy tea while having a conversation about harvesting methods, olive pressing and further benefits of the olive tree.

From 10:00 to 15.00 we will harvest the trees together.

Just a reminder to bring enough water and snacks and to wear comfortable clothes and good shoes for hiking up for 15 minutes to get to Juthour!

There will be two days of harvesting Friday 3 Nov and Saturday 4 Nov. Why so late in the Olive Harvest season? We wait for the first rains so the trees are clean and we can enjoy the work more.

We provide a donation box for those who would like to support Juthour. The money is used to plant more trees on the Mashjar and for its maintainance.
