عن المحاضرة:
تجارب حركتنا في الفن والنضال قادتنا بعيدا عن اطار العمل في العدالة الاجتماعية إلى التحرر النظري والفعلي من الكولونيالية. "حرر هذا المكان" هو نتيجة سنوات من العمل والتنظيم في طيف واسع من النضالات من Occupy إلى حياة السود مهمة إلى ستاندينغ روك، إلى الحرية لفلسطين. سنحاول هنا أن نستكسف سوية كيف يكون لاستهداف مؤسسات ثقافية مثل المتحف الامريكي للتاريخ الطبيعي، غوغنهايم، ومتحف بروكلين أثر وعلاقة لفلسطين.

أمين حسين ونتاشا ديلون هما MTL.
هي تعاونية تربط في ممارستها البحث والجماليات والتنظيم والعمل المباشر. MTL أعضاء في تحالف الفنانين "عمل الخليج" ومؤسسين لجناحها الفاعل المستقل G.U.L.F و حرر هذا المكان.

About the lecture:
Our movement experiences of art and struggle have led us away from a social-justice framework toward a decolonial analytic and practice. Decolonize This Place is the result of years of organizing across a spectrum of struggles from Occupy to Black Lives Matter to Standing Rock to Free Palestine. Here, we explore together how targeting institutions like American Museum of Natural History, Guggenheim, or Brooklyn Museum are relevant to Palestine.

About the group
Amin Husain and Natasha Dhillon are MTL, a collaboration that joins research, aesthetics, organizing, and action in its practice. MTL is a member of Gulf Labor Artist Coalition and a founder of its autonomous direct action wing, G.U.L.F. and Decolonize This Place.
